Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Web Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of modern web design principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating visually stunning and user-friendly websites. As a WordPress Web Designer, you will work closely with our creative and technical teams to deliver outstanding websites that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design visually compelling websites: Create aesthetically pleasing and functional websites that are in line with client brand guidelines and project objectives.

• Custom WordPress theme development: Design and implement custom WordPress themes from scratch, ensuring they are responsive, optimized for performance, and aligned with the latest design trends.

• Content layout and optimization: Develop and structure page layouts that enhance user experience, ensure ease of navigation, and drive engagement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with project managers, developers, and digital marketers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

• Stay updated with industry trends: Continuously research and implement the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

• Optimize websites for speed and performance: Ensure that all websites are fast, scalable, and optimized for SEO and mobile viewing.

• Client interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements, present design concepts, and iterate based on feedback.

• Quality assurance: Rigorously test websites to identify and fix any issues related to design, functionality, and user experience before launch.

• Manage multiple projects: Efficiently handle multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in web design, specifically with WordPress.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality, responsive websites.

Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in WordPress: Extensive knowledge of WordPress, including theme development, plugin integration, and customization.

• Strong design sensibility: Ability to translate client requirements into visually stunning and user-friendly designs.

• Proficiency in design tools: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or similar design tools.

• HTML/CSS knowledge: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively collaborate with developers.

• Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the design and development process.

• Excellent communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.

• Attention to detail: A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring that every design element aligns perfectly with the overall vision.

Location

This position is offered on a remote basis. However, depending on the cities where most of our hires are located, we will consider establishing offices to support our growing team.

Working Hours

Typically work from 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility as needed to accommodate project deadlines.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Lead Web Designer and works closely with the Creative Director and Development Team.
